Ambition

*Ambition* explores the relationship between desire, ambition, and femininity. I placed a smooth, monochromatic figure against a dense, assertive field of emerald-green impasto, creating a visual tension between calm and intensity. The painting examines the perceived divide between material aspirations and spiritual or humanitarian pursuits, while questioning the ways society judges women who dare to want more.
