"The work we did took out the psychological aspect and moved me into actionable territory..."
--- M.J.
"Working with Raven has felt like instant magic because she listens well and gets in tune with exactly what I want to accomplish. Raven is compassionate, an excellent listener, insightful, TRULY WISE, and sometimes seems like she's lived several lifetimes. It's not every day you meet someone who has all those attributes and is skilled at their craft. My life transformed within the first few weeks of working with Raven. She gets me. I feel heard, probably for the first time, regarding my wellness goals. I am confident that I will have the success I seek working with Raven! I don't even think the same as I used to about wellness. Raven is worth every dollar and more!
I thought that my issues with my body had a lot to do with many things unrelated to the body. Traditional programs did not help long term because the programs focused on diet and exercise (mostly exercise). I would follow the programs and then go backwards because I needed a mindset shift. This program helped me to shift my mindset in less than 5 weeks.
I definitely enjoyed the Pleasure module the most. I had never considered how important pleasure is to connect with my body. I took a week off for my birthday and did whatever pleased me each day. I felt so much more control over my life and very loved. I think sometimes overweight people are thought of to be lazy. I personally knew that not to be true. We are often the people who give and work too much. Pleasure week helped me to see those issues clearly.
I'll continue to increase pleasure in my life. Also, realizing that as I change my mindset about caring for myself, my body changes in the process, I will continue to see my physical health as related to my stress level, relationships, etc."

"One of the things I love about working with Raven is that she knows how to ask insightful questions that really get to the root of your mindset patterns. I've often found myself discovering things simply through analyzing it differently and being honest about that discovery in a nonjudgmental way has really opened the doors to progress. Raven also has a wonderful personality and inviting attitude that makes it easy and natural to share things I've never shared with anyone else before, so I am really glad I was recommended to her services!"

"I’m so glad that I had a chance to work with Raven. She has a knack for creating deep insights with the most simple and direct truths. What I appreciate most about working with Raven is how well she can hold space in the most beautiful and nonjudgmental way. In doing so, she gently encouraged me to let go of unhealthful patterns and instead focus my energy on pleasurable activities. I’m deeply grateful for the changes that have occurred during our time together."

"I had never worked with a coach before and this was a very cool experience for me. There are things that you feel like you know and you think you’re doing them the best way possible but then you talk to a coach and it unlocks a whole new level. That’s exactly how I felt working with Raven. It was an eye opening experience for me and I made great progress on a goal of mine that I’ve had for years. Amazing!
One of the most helpful things I learn working with Raven is that you don’ t have to be absolutely perfect and ready to start your goals. I remember talking to her about wanting to run a 5k and saying that I’m going to start training and run one next year. She told me that I can walk a 5k and most people walk and/or run it.
It didn’t really click for me until then that I could just walk a 5k and I didn’t need to put it off. It was such a big “aha!” moment for me. I also learned that adding small bits of pleasure in your routines and in the goals you want to achieve makes it so much easier. Having discipline or consistency in your life doesn’t mean you don’t have pleasure. And in actuality, the absence of pleasure can make it more difficult for you to reach your health goals (or any goals). I really learned a lot during my time with Raven, it was amazing!
The module I found the most fun was definitely Pleasure! It really made me think about the things that I like to do and what makes me happy. Being able to incorporate the little things like burning incense when I’m working or putting out all of my fragrant body washes so I can remember to choose one before hopping in the shower has really changed the way I tackle the day.
The most helpful module has also been the most challenging for me to implement and that’s Attentive Eating. When I remember to do it, it’s literally changing the way I approach eating. I’m still working on making it a habit but my relationship with eating and food has always been a struggle. This module has really helped me with that!
I want to implement all (the suggestions) in small ways as best I can. What this coaching helped me do is realize when something is off and what I can do to fix it. For example, I’ve bene super busy with family things and have noticed I’m having a hard time staying focused in my business and in my 5k training. I realized that some of the lack of focus is because my house is cluttered because I’m so busy, so I’ve started taking a few minutes a day to clean up like we talked about in the Cleaning Up Your Environment module and it’s helped so much!
I really like that Raven followed up our sessions with an email that talked a bit about what we discussed. I wish it was a little bit more in-depth or that I was able to get access to the recording of the sessions. If I had though about it, I would have asked but it’s mostly because I’m forgetful."

"I learned how to take it easy with myself and be gentle. All of our sessions started gentle and ended gentle even if I had a complete meltdown in it. I learned that I thought too difficultly about simple ideas that centered around me feeling good. It was nice to slow down and feel good.
I really enjoyed the cleaning up my environment. It pushed me to buy end tables for my bedroom and lamps. This segment really helped me see myself different and stopped delaying what felt good around me. Now my house is closer to looking like how I want. And it feels good to go home knowing I designed the space in a way that suits me and feels elevated.
The main thing I learned that I will continue is Pleasure. I am allowing myself to dance till it fills my heart. Hearing Raven point out my joy, and how much dancing means to me felt good. I felt seen in a way that caught my attention. I am always going to dance. I can’t cut myself off from this energy.
One thing I would have liked to see more of is the Exercise portion."
